Think of the smallest thing you can make — A tiny paper airplane? A knot in a string? Now think of making something millions of times smaller. That's what nanotechnology is about.

Nanotechnology scientists move around atoms and molecules to make amazing new devices. Imagine super-tape as sticky as a gecko's toes, tiny medical devices that can detect disease in seconds, or mini-gadgets powered by solar cells in your clothes.

Nanotechnology is used in many industries. Someday it could affect almost every part of our lives.

Developed by Lawrence Hall of Science, this permanent exhibit is one of the first anywhere to explore cutting-edge nanotech developments, and introduce the scientists on the nanotech forefront.
